My brother is ordering a helicoil kit to fix the 3-point pin on my tractor which has delayed progress on the track. In the mean time I used a chain wrapped around the tractor axle to hold the 3 point hitch in place. Worked good enough to use the back blade and tiller. Not sturdy enough for the Box-Blade with rippers though. But I did get the oval smoothed out enough to run some laps. Hoping to have a Halloween race / party if all goes well. If we get the Box Blade going again soon we might even be able to get the road track completed by then.
I was walking the dogs out by my track site and the racing at Arledge track this past weekend gave me a new idea. We will still have the 1/8 mile oval track but can make a second road track that includes part of the oval track but also has a loop around my greenhouse. The trail around the green house is already pretty decent and with little work I can add it into racing plans.
We will be there tomorrow with hopefully 2 karts. I guess we will be in stage 2 clone, as we have air filters, jets, and headers. Governors are still on them, so we won't pose a threat to anyone and we'll stay out of the way of the points race.
Yes we plan on being there Saturday. I may only have 1 kart ready but we still plan on bringing it and shaking it out. Looking forward to meeting everyone.
Sorry about not making it out Saturday folks. Had to meet with our realtor at the last minute Saturday morning, leaving me no time to get down there. We both plan on being there for the next race on the 29th and I should have both karts ready to shake down. My apologies again and we look forward to meeting you all.
