I know a lot of racers expressed interest in racing on the road course at Zen Ridge. Since I have 2 usable tracks (weather permitting) I was thinking we might be able to run both and make up the points that didn't get awarded when 6-4-16 race was cancelled by rain. I understand that leaders in the points standing may not want to risk that much in one day and others that are trailing may prefer it. Just thought I would throw it out there for discussion and poll. Please vote to reflect your views. We can decide on Saturday.
The road course now consists of outer kidney lap around green house followed by an inner oval lap. Lap time for this track (40-50 seconds) are slightly shorter than West Road and Arledge. I would suggest a 3 lap race on this track to give ample opportunity to rebound from from being beat off the start. This should put us right at our normal 2 minute race times. The road course race would be double elimination with 2 karts at time as usual.
The oval course is pretty much the same as last time. I'll try to have most of the loose dirt removed by race time. I have my watering trailer to use through out race day to keep the dust down. we can run 4 karts at a time on this track to speed up the competition.
Hope to see a lot of racers on Saturday!
