2016 Race setup
« on: July 26, 2016, 08:28:59 am »
Apparently no one wants to race in a group of more than two karts at a time, so all races going forward will go back to bracket style single or double elimination. There are no points standings currently being tracked for the year due to people getting discouraged from racing by getting too far behind in a points season. If anyone has ideas on what they want to see and still be able to keep people racing for the whole season, throw them my way.
With the advances in modern science, and my high level of income, it's not crazy to think i'm gonna live to be 250 to 300 years old.

I don't think there are any issues with racing in groups. Most races this year have had someone or multiple people having an issue with karts. So when 2 PM rolls around we aren't all ready to qualify. As time gets later in afternoon we have just decided to go with double elimination as time saver. The 1st race at West road used the qualifying format and was successful because every ones karts were ready at start. I thought I wouldn't like that format but it was different and fun. I have no issue with it. For the Zen Ridge Oval I would prefer to keep the number of karts to 4 until I get a guard rails or hay bails installed on the turn that drops off. We should be able to use your format at my track since qualifying doesn't take that long. I think participation is down due to heat and other issues. Don't think anyone is giving up on the season. I know I'm not. I have all of the race results except portions of the July 2nd race. If Danny has the remainder we should be able to update the points standing and make the finish to the season very exciting. Will post what I have so you can update points standings once you get the other info from your brother.
